This week has been a struggle. Vienna is teething, has a tummy virus and got her four month vaccines. She hasn't slept more than 2 hour stretches and just wants to be on the boob ALL DAY LONG. Here's how I've gotten through it..
one | Nipple balm. I use Honest Company's nipple balm during the day time when Vienna nurses more often. At night I use Lanolin because it provides more coverage and Vienna nurses less often. Lanolin has a few ingredients that I don't absolutly love hence using when Vienna nurses less often.
two | Minted Lane's Clair Necklace in Mint and White. Vienna loves putting everything in her mouth right now. This necklace is AMAZING! It can be dressed up or dressed down. I can actually wear jewelry which is non existent these days. My favorite is grocery shopping, putting Vienna in the ergo and wearing my teething necklace! three | Wine. I try to keep my alcohol consumption limited, not only because I exclusively breastfeed, but also its just empty calories.. BUT after having a screaming child for three days strait, no sleep, and nipples that no longer look like nipples, I give. I don't second guess or question it, I just give myself a 30 minute break, a glass of wine and NO expectations. Your welcome mom.
