Kitchen | How to Store Your Produce

I've been stocking our home with more and more fresh produce lately and wanted to share how I store srore all of it to maximize its lifespan!

Asparagus: Cut ends off and place in a cup of water. Store on the Countertop.

Carrots: Place in a plastic bag. Store in refrigerator.

Tomatoes: Store not touching each other with space in between on the countertop.

Radish: Place in zip lock bag. Store in refrigerator. Β 

Avacado: store on countertop to ripen. Store in refrigerator once ripe. Β 

Cucumbers: Store on the countertop.

Onions: Store on the Countertop.

Potatoes: Place in a wire basket to breath. Store in a dark place.

Pears: Store on the countertop.

Garlic: Store in a brown paper bag.

Summer Squash: Place in a plastic bag. Store in refrigerator.

Winter Squash: Place in a wire basket to breath. Store in a dark place.

Basil: Cut ends off and place in a cup of water, cover with a zip lock bag to creat a green house affect. Countertop.

Parsley: Cut ends off and place in a cup of water. Sore in the fridge.

Cilantro: Cut ends off and place in a cup of water. Sore in the fridge.

Added tip: Why do we have two produce drawers in our fridge? Because vegetables like a humid environment, while fruit likes it dry.
