Our preliminary meeting with Wendy was great. who wouldn't love a woman who shows up at your work on your and hubbys lunch break with multipule different cakes to taste test?
Wendy brought three different slices of three layer cake, each layer had a different filling and each slice had a different icing flavor on top.
We chose the following flavor combinations. For our cake we had Lemon Poppyseed with Cream Cheese Filling & Frosting. Then for our cupcakes we chose Vanilla Butter Cake with Raspberry Filling & Chocolate Frosting.

I'm a bit of a control freak and I tend to know exactly what I want. I showed Wendy 4 pictures of different styles of cakes I liked. And told her how I'd like my cake designed. I asked for a simple 3 tear white cake with gold embellishments. I also wanted cupcakes to serve to make it a little more informal and kid friendly.
She surprised me when she started to dig a little deeper. She wanted to know about all of my colors, all of my decor, my table placemat etc. then she asked about Jon and I personally. Trying to see exactly how personal she could make the cake. It was very sweet! (Pun intended)
